The first time I bought Egyptian Cotton linen I was a little nervous because I was not sure about the high thread count. I always operated on the basis that the higher the thread count the better the quality of the linen, so when I saw these really high thread count numbers I was sceptical. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bedding linen I had purchased when I went home and opened the package. I did some research on egyptian cotton to get a better sense of where it came from and the history behind it. For example, I was surprised to learn of the unique quality of the long fiber in Egyptian Cotton that makes it softer and stronger. I have been using egyptian cotton bed linen and pillow cases since, and enjoy both the luxury and durability of the fibers.
